Kelly Cates, Office Manager
Kelly has over 18 years of experience with anything and everything that has to do with running a dental practice. From explaining and scheduling treatment to billing and maximizing patients’ insurance benefits, Kelly can do it all. If you have questions, comments, or concerns, Kelly will help you get the answers you need.
A wife and mother of 2 precious girls, Kelly stays pretty busy, but when she can, she tries to find time to go 4 wheelin’ with family and friends!
Cara Matson, Treatment Coordinator
Cara is originally from DeLand, Florida and has worked in the dental field since high school. She attended Florida State University where she majored in Music and Biology Education. After a few years of teaching, she took time off to be a stay at home mom and travel the US with her husband. She really missed working in dentistry. Filled with a desire to learn more, she attended dental assisting school in 2014. She spent a few years working as an RDA before coming to Pecan Park Family Dentistry as our Treatment Coordinator. Cara thoroughly enjoys helping patients achieve optimum oral health and is available to assist you with any you need! When she’s not at work, you can find her playing piano, reading, & spending time with her two boys, Jay and David, and her husband, Jacob.
Chelsey Longnecker, Dental Hygienist
Chelsey was awarded her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing from Texas State University-San Marcos. After working in marketing for a few years, she decided to pursue a career where she could help people and returned dental hygiene school. Chelsea loves the preventative aspect of dental hygiene and working with patients of all ages to get them excited about their oral health. Chelsea has been living in Austin for the last 5 years and loves spending time with her dog, Abbey, being outdoors, and going to music festivals.
Erica Sims, Dental Hygienist
Erica was born in a small town in West Texas, and she was raised in her family’s restaurant where she learned all about hard work and customer service. Most importantly, she learned how we are put on this Earth to serve one another. She loves being a hygienist! She believes that a person’s smile can change lives including their own. Erica most enjoys cheering on her patients not only in their dental care but also in their own life journey. When not in the office you can find her teaching her two boys, enjoying life with my husband of 13 years, or cuddled up with their dogs, Bear and Ino. Her hobbies include reading, art, photography, and watching movies, especially classics.
Melissa Worley, Dental Hygienist
Melissa attended The University of Colorado School of Dentistry and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2004. She practiced dental hygiene in Highlands Ranch, CO for eight years until April of 2012 when her family relocated to Austin, Texas.
Melissa continues her dedication to the profession of dental hygiene through continuing education, serving needs in the community, and lecturing on current topics such as, integrating patients with autism spectrum disorders into the dental practice.
In her free time she enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Shaun, and her two children, Connor and Avery.
Renate Edwards, Dental Assistant
Renate is originally from Germany. She moved to the US in 1992 with her husband and daughter. She loves to spend time with her two granddaughters and grandson (who call her Oma!). On weekends, you can find Renate riding her Harley through the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
Idalisha Giles, Dental Assistant
Idalisha was born in South Carolina and moved to Texas with her family through the military. Idalisha has worked in the dental field since. She is currently continuing her education in the field. She loves being a dental assistant and meeting new people. In her spare time, she enjoys basketball, traveling, reading, eating, shopping, and spending time with her loved ones – especially her 12 God children & counting.
Ashley Kaysen, Dental Assistant
Ashley has worked in dentistry for about ten years. She will assist you at your dental visit from start to finish, and she can answer most any question about your treatment! Her training includes CPR, Dental Radiation and Safety techniques, and ongoing continuing education in the field of dentistry. Ashley was born and raised in California and recently moved to Austin to experience the wide variety of live music and friendly people. Ashley loves animals and enjoys being outdoors and reading.
